With the NHL preseason cancelled through September 2012, hockey fans are finding unique ways to pass the time.

"Lockout Man", performed by Harrison Mooney, Daniel Wagner, and Bryan Binnema and originally posted at Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy blog, is an ode to the work stoppage and the players' exodus to the European leagues. It parodies Elton John classic "Rocket Man".

Some lines didn't need to be changed. With news that the Winter Classic could be cancelled as early as November 2012 and players beginning to speculate that the lockout could last a year or more, "I think it's gonna be a long, long time" fit as well in the parody version as it did in the original.
