George Michael rules UK radio ...

... but Elton John is breathing down his neck.
George Michael has been played more times on UK radio in the last 20 years than any other artist, it has emerged.
The former Wham star, who has enjoyed massive success as a solo artist, picked-up an award commemorating his achievement at the Radio Academy's annual music radio conference in London on April 28, 2004.
Michael, accepting the prize, told the audience: "I can't believe it. I've only made six albums in 22 years so I don't know how this happened. I'm the luckiest writer on earth," reports the BBC.
The honour was decided from information collected from more than 600 radio stations across the country.
Sir Elton John was second in the Top Ten, with Robbie Williams third. Kylie Minogue and Madonna are the only two females to feature, at four and six respectively.
