It is reported a deer has died after being accidentally spooked by Elton's helicopter arriving in Cornwall.

The Sun says the creature ran into a road and was hit by a car after being scared by the noise. Elton was flying into the Eden Project for the first of his two gigs on June 16, 2015.

A source told the paper: "It was just a freak accident. The pilot couldn't have known there was a deer there. It was clipped by the car, bounced into the air and then lay there dead. I don't know if Elton was told. It's not his fault, just very unlucky."

Six thousand people turned out to watch the star at each of his two nights in Cornwall.
