Recent purchases other than some new Elton 180 gram vinyl:

1. Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie (from Fleetwood Mac):
Self-titled
New release on vinyl.
Very melodic light guitar driven pop featuring both writers.

2. Pink Floyd:
ATOM HEART MOTHER
New 180 gram vinyl pressing of their 1970 release.
Very "out there" for the time. Experimental.

3. Portishead:
THIRD
Vinyl pressing of their 2008 release.
Electronic, mellow and at times hypnotic.

4. Radiohead:
KID A
Re-release on vinyl of their 2000 release.
A good album that saw them move into some new territory (at the time).

5. Saltland (Rebecca Foon):
A COMMON TRUTH
New release on vinyl.
Spare, haunting, and hushed (Cello and electronic loops).

6. Roger Waters:
IS THIS THE LIFE WE REALLY WANT
New release on vinyl.
Lyrically clear with political themes - some good musical moments too.

I buy a lot of vinyl, but the two that stand out over the last month are these.

First Aid Kit: The Lion's Roar (2012). Very good Swedish folk duo group. Focuses mostly on American style folk/country music. Album was top notch.

Danny Cox: Birth Announcement (1969). This album is mostly covers of Beatles and Bob Dylan songs. Danny Cox puts a lot of soul into it all though. I highly recommend tracking this jewel down!

Bought Hank Wilson's Back, Vol. 2 by Leon and No More Night by Glen Campbell. Both unavailable in digital form, so I'll rip both vinyls.
