I don't think he'll be the worst President. Kim Jong Um is trying to start a war. No matter the consequences. Bush started a war against Iraq based only on the assumption Saddam Hussein had secret nuclear weapons, which proved to be false. Now the nuclear weapons do exist and North Korea is ready (or almost ready) to launch a nuclear missile against US and Japan. It's getting more dangerous. I think Hillary wouldn't be able to deal the with current situation, if she had won the election. Trump is the right person to deal with Kim Jong Um.

Not so long ago I just read about NK's goals. They are NOT trying to start a war, rather they have been wanting US to promise that they won't attack NK as long as NK is not attacking anyone. The source said that both Bush and Obama refused this, and now Trump is continuing the same. NK will keep gearing up for even a nuclear war as long as they think US is a threat.

I don't think Trump is the right person to deal with NK. The relations to NK are the worst ever. If he was alone to do the decision, I bet NK would already be destroyed. Thankfully Trump can't decide everything by himself.

What is the best alternative, I ask?

1) Attack North Korea

The worst alternative, would destroy the whole country.

2) Keep putting pressure on them

Not sensible because NK is not trying to attack anyone. They will increase their military might which means less food, more weapons.

3) Promise not to attack NK when they're not at war

The best option. It would lead to lower tensions between them and the world, and would prove Kim Jong Un that we want them to look after their people, not to search for threats.

Who really believes that they're trying to start a war? Would be a certain suicide.

Now it's a matter of who will launch the first missile. The situation is getting worse every day.

I don't understand polling people with this question. If there's actually a war the last thing we'll be concerned about it is polls comparing DT to other presidents. "Oh my God there's war now" and who's getting killed and why and how to stop it would come before that.

I agree that N Korea doesn't want a war, or I always did. I mostly still do think they couldn't possibly want a war, but flying missiles over Japan is so extreme. That may just be stupid. Their behavior has always clearly been a manipulative ploy for gifts and supplies from the US (and Europe?), and I always looked at other Americans like chickens running around with their heads cut off, when they actually believed there was a threat. Why would they TELL us?
