I was wondering if any other Elton fans from here are going to be at the LATW in NYC on Oct 11 and then seeing the Billy Elliot Performance that night. I am going and would love to meet more elton fans in NYC.

I attended the NY/LATW charity luncheon on 11 October '08 with 3 friends.

I want to congratulate Jim and Susan for organizing a great event, complete with raffles, auction, good Italian cuisine, choice seating to the 8pm performance of ''Billy Elliott'',a great tribute band entitled,''Bennie and the Jets.''

We had a fun time meeting new friends/fans and some we knew from before, either the 60th Birthday NY/LATW and/or the Elton Expo in Las Vegas.

Band members Greg and Dan performed EJ hits plus some seldom played songs,ie.Country Comfort,Electricity, and Love Song.

At the Imperial Theater we got to see ''Billy'' in preview and were asked to fill out a questionnaire because they are still tweaking the musical for the grand opening.

I was very impressed with what we saw.No doubt, this musical will grab its share of ''Tony'' Awards.

There are 3 Billys that alternate shows because they are not old enough to work an adult work schedule. We got to see Kiril Kulish,as Billy. He was born and raised in San DIego ,CA and is a great dancer.

I strongly recommend attending a performance. You will be very impressed with the story line and the music as it is woven together beautifully.

Sounds like a good date!

You're holding back, you're hard to read
You're the 21st century kind
You're lighting fast, built for speed
A tight lipped modern mind

An architect of grand romance
You're a mystery of disguise
You're holed up in your house of wax
Just waiting for the fire

You're buttoned-down, all sewn up
You're an archeological soul
Cold hard truth only proves
What we already know
