I wanted to try one of these polls. So I chose this one. It's easy for me. biggrin.gif

I voted for 'Cold as Christmas...'. I don't even care that much for 'One More Arrow'.

I have never liked CAC as much as I should, probably.

OMA I have recently really fell in love with. I'm not that excited of Elton's falsetto in it though (it's only a shadow of what it used to be).

A month ago, I'd have voted for Christmas. But recently, it's slipped just a bit for me, and I'll go with a very good closer in One More Arrow. Both songs carry strong messages of sentiment, a failing marriage and the passing of a loved one who acted as a mentor and friend.

Both great. CAC wins for me. Hard to say why. OMA may be the only time I don't mind the falsetto.

I really enjoy Elton's falsetto on the 'Blue Moves' album. It's really great. Oddly enough, I have never cared for it on OMA. I guess you're right---it's only a shadow of what it used to be.

Love both. Chose Cold as Christmas, which is slightly better.

I didn't vote, because it's neither for me. I don't think either of them are any better/more interesting than the other. And neither leave strong impressions on me for an opener or closer.

This album is a masterpiece, imo. One of Elton`s greatest.

Yeesh. No competition here. I thought more people liked 'One More Arrow' then is shown here. ohmy.gif At least 'Tumbleweed Connection' poll had some competition going on.

I'm going to try another one that MAY have a little more competition.

(I'm bored. Gotta stir this board up. blink.gif)

I love both songs and they are on the same level, imo. I just chose Cold as Christmas because it does not have the falsettos.

Yikes!

Neither song rates as very popular with me but at least I can listen to "Cold As Christmas."

The title track or "I'm Still Standing" would have made excellent opening choices for such an important album.
